“Our GAP art was displayed on Mother’s Day for the public of Santa Barbara at Stearn’s Wharf where they have Arlington West…crosses put up every Sunday in memory of all the American soldiers who have died in Iraq.

A local group called MotherHearts had speakers, Jean Shinoda Bolen from San Francisco and Selma Rubin and a few others…2 mothers who had both lost sons in Iraq…very moving…our poet laureate wrote a poem for the day and our legislators were there too.

I had as many people as I could go take a look at our GAP pieces…everyone loved them and said what a great project. My friend Chris took some photos of the pieces and then we shipped them off to their new homes!”
