Universal Rainbow

Excerpt from Jan’s letter to her GAP partner in Morocco, “I am 59 years old and have three grown daughters. Art has been a part of my life since I was a child. I have worked in many, many mediums but etching is my favorite. I have a degree in biology that helps me in form, balance and order.

Most of my work is very detailed, which I find to be very meditative. ‘Universal Rainbow’ is freer in style. I like the simplicity of this piece and of course the rainbow, which has a very special meaning to me. My studio is named ‘The Crystal Rainbow’ and rainbows mean promise, hope and love to me. I also feel they symbolize the creative spirit within us all. I hope you like my creation and look forward to seeing yours.
